If you’re planning to go to this for the lights, then you plan to be SORELY disappointed. Modeled after the famous German Christmas markets, this is an annual event that takes place at the Red Brick Warehouse in Yokohama. An EASY walk from multiple train stations on the Minato Mirai line this market is definitely a local favorite!

If you hope to do more than just look from the outside, make sure that you make reservations IN ADVANCE, other wise you won’t be able to enter the shopping area of the market and shop at the vendor stalls or get in close to view the Christmas tree. While the market is still viewable from the outside as well as the tree, the tickets are required for the upclose experience and can NOT be reserved on the same day.

If for some reason you’re unable to get tickets to the events there are still plenty of other things to do in the area: the Red Brick Warehouse itself has multiple levels of shopping and dining options as well as the ice skating rink that is there as well.
